There are various stretch mark treatment measures that can be taken to avoid stretch marks during or after the pregnancy. These include herbal treatments such as massage on the regular basis with cocoa butter, germ oil, wheat and olive oil. Supplementary homely methods include rubbing of the apricot scrub on area with these marks.
Drinking loads of water also helps in hydrating the skin. Avoiding the consumption of caffeine also helps. Following a balanced diet rich in leafy vegetables, fruits and consumption of food products that are rich in roughage and zinc like nuts and fish, and rich in vitamins A, D, C like carrots, spinach etc is also of use. Exercise is yet another method of preventing the skin from getting stretch marks.
Also, there are a number of lotions that are available for removal of pregnancy stretch marks. These lotions have vitamin C and E that moisturizes the skin. But, it is not sure if such lotions totally eliminate the stretch marks. Laser surgery is the best alternative, if the want is to totally get rid of these marks. These marks are not a grave trouble so it is futile to rush to the dermatologist for treatment of stretch marks.
